Merova FitPrivacy Policy

Merova Fit is a fitness coaching app made by Merova ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use our website and app at fit.merova.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and whether Google has verified it. We never see your Google password.
- Profile details you choose to add: phone number, date of birth, gender and height.
- Coaching data you enter: your onboarding answers, weight entries, workouts logged, meals, water intake, goals and body measurements.
- Messages and bookings: chats with your coach and the classes or calls you book.
- Orders and payments: what you buy, order amounts and payment status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
- Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, device type and the time of a request, used to keep the service secure and working.
Why we use it
- To run your account and let you log in securely.
- So your coach can build and adjust your workouts and meal plans, and reply to your messages.
- To process orders and subscriptions.
- To send you login codes, password reset links and, if you turn them on, reminders and updates. You can switch notifications off in Settings at any time.
- To prevent abuse, such as blocking repeated failed logins.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services we need to run Merova Fit, and only for that purpose:
- Render (hosting) and MongoDB Atlas (database), where your data is stored.
- Razorpay, to take payments.
- Resend, to send emails such as login codes.
- Twilio, to send WhatsApp messages, only if you turn WhatsApp updates on.
- Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these providers store data outside India. We may also share data if the law requires it.
Health information
Weight, meals and similar entries are used only to coach you. Your coach can see them; no one else can. Merova Fit is not a medical service. Please speak to a doctor before starting a new diet or exercise plan, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, logs and messages. We may keep order and payment records for as long as Indian tax law requires.
Your rights
- See and download your data: in the app, tap your avatar, open Privacy and choose Download my data.
- Correct it: edit your profile in the app, or write to us.
- Delete it: in the app, tap your avatar, open Privacy and choose Delete account. This is permanent.
- Withdraw consent for optional emails and messages by turning them off in Settings.
Security
Connections are encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and sessions can be signed out from Settings. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and don't share your account.
Children
Merova Fit is meant for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
